Dear Ms. Tamai,

During a media interview on February 2nd 2012, responding to a question by Louis Wade Jr. of Plus TV, you assured the public that the list of names of those persons whose petitions (submitted under the Coalition to Save Our Natural Heritage-led initiative to trigger a national referendum on Off Shore Drilling) were rejected ‘would definitely be released’ (as referenced here).

As some 732 days have passed with no update, I am genuinely concerned that should another matter of national importance arise, those persons would, in every likelihood, again be disenfranchised.

Therefore, under the freedom of information act, and for the sake of a healthy democracy, I am earnestly requesting that your department releases this list, without further delay.

Respectfully,

Samiyyah RIFQA Andrewin
