Taking our youths to booth camp is like telling a pirate to walk the plank
We are wasting monies and man power
Trying to rehabilitate victims of a criminal culture
Policemen and soldiers trying to play doctors
What we should be doing is reforming the culture
Through asset mapping and the training of more qualified certified social workers
Flooding these Crime ridden areas with mobile teams of psychiatric nurses, community development officers, counselors and social worker and in some case even medical doctors
We want result but are not working on the infrastructures can’t yo all see you are creating
Chaotic structures and creating monsters? We should be treating the trauma
Six weeks training can’t do much when they have to return to the same area
We are introducing more trauma to youth, whose lives are already traumatize
Who when they sleep can’t afford to close both their eyes
Where is the Ministry of Human Development in this exercise?
They are fucking up these children’s lives It’s time for Belizean to get wise,
these things requires persons who are specialized
All we are creating are monster twice our size
But little do we realize

Who will soon terrorize their neighbors
Because they have not been given a real opportunity to heal their traumas,
explore their authentic selves and learn what are their triggers
They have to be taught that when it comes to their life scripts they are the owners, masters, and authors
